Resumen

Esta investigación explora las premisas y consecuencias de la expansión de la Unión Europea (UE) hacia el Centro y Este de Europa en relación con Rusia. La incorporación de la antigua zona de influencia soviética al proyecto europeo ha significado un cambio en las relaciones con Rusia. Para analizar adecuadamente desde un punto de vista histórico este tema, la investigación se sumerge en la comprensión de la relación histórica entre la UE y Rusia, como paso previo al análisis de la disfunción normativa entre bloques, para finalizar con la idea rusa de multipolaridad. Estos tres pasos claves proporcionan la información requerida que posibilita el desarrollo de las conclusiones alcanzadas en este artículo.
