Abstract
The analysis of public activity aimed at tax management is often carried out on the tax figures themselves. Thus, it is usual to study their regulatory laws, the jurisprudence that affects them, or their capabilities as a collection instrument. However, the organization and functioning of the tax agencies is rarely studied directly, which contributes to the fact that their work, highly specialized and with high social effects, is not always well known. This paper presents the project that is being developed to transform and modernize the Madrid Tax Agency, the body in charge of managing the Madrid City Council’s taxes.
